It’s set in the late 90s, but there is no show that imbues the spirt of the events of the last week more than it: the white woman in Central Park and the black bird watcher, the mess in Minneapolis, etc. Me on : via

This protest was supposed to end at Queen’s Park. Organizers told the crowd people the march began that it might end at Bay because of a duelling protest at QP — believe it’s protesting the coronavirus lockdown. Said they didn’t want any trouble.

Lot of masks and, to give organizers credit, they did supply some PPE and emphasize social distancing but it definitely hard with a crowd this size. Indigenous drumming and singing and chants like, “Black Lives Matter” make sure this group is being heard.

Regis Korchinski-Paquet’s family put out a statement today to emphasize they want this to be a peaceful protest. Organizers, a group called Not Another Black Life, emphasized just that in a rally in the park before the march began. So far so good.

I edited this video following long-term care workers in a COVID unit. It was a truly eyeopening experience. I know it's cliche at this point but I've watched a lot of footage and can confirm healthcare workers are indeed heroes. Watch the full video here:
